Na Po Wri Mo starts today

National (international) poetry writing – Na Po Wri Mo – month begins today! . The challenge of writing a poem a month was started by the poet and publisher, Maureen Thorson, on her blog in 2003, and was later adopted by other websites. You’ll find information and daily prompts on the NaPoWriMo website as well as links to participants’ websites. If you need more ideas for your daily writing, take a look at last year’s prompt sheets from the Poetry Society. If writing a full length poem every day seems too much, maybe try something shorter, like a haiku or a one-line monostitch.
